We are proud to annouce Brittany Sullivan, Miss Teen Maryland International 2008, as the new Starlight MidAtlantic Teen Ambassador.
Meet Brittany:
Brittany Sullivan is 15 years old and attends Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. Along with being an honor student and a varsity cheerleader she is currently the reigning Miss Teen Maryland International 2008. The International system has been developed to promote today's young women, ages 13 - 18, and their accomplishments. Around the world women are finding this system to be the opportunity to work with others and to become positive role models in society.
Brittany is proud to be the new Teen Ambassador for Starlight MidAtlantic. Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation is an organization that is so close to her heart for many reasons. First, her mother, who suffers from Crohn’s disease, has shown her how painful and serious a chronic illness can be. Along with having watched a friend suffer from leukemia and seeing the toll that it took not only on his body, but his life. He inspired her to become involved after finding a source of hope and strength through Starlight MidAtlantic.
Throughout the next year Brittany plans to travel and spread the word of Starlight MidAtlantic through appearances and speaking engagements. She will be raising money to help distribute Fun Centers to more hospitals by speaking with civic organizations and Chambers of Commerce. Along with spreading her message that every teen should know what it feels like to make a difference in somebody’s life.
