Starlight is proud to work with many MidAtlantic hospitals to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children. If you are a hospital or donor interested in bringing Starlight programs to your hospital, please follow the links below to learn more about our hospital-based programs.
- Fun Centers™ - Mobile entertainment units containing a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD television, DVD player and the latest Nintendo game system that roll bedside in hospitals to provide fun and distraction for pediatric patients.
- Hospital Happenings® - Fun-filled parties, entertainers and therapeutic workshops designed to offer hospitalized children and teens comfort, companionship and a welcome break from medical treatment.
- PC Pals® - Laptop computers that provide pediatric patients with a variety of entertaining and educational software, Starlight's online educational programs, and filtered Internet access that allows hospitalized kids to email and instant message their friends and family.
- Starlight Sites™ - Beautifully designed and inviting hospital environments where pediatric patients can relax, play and interact with other children during their hospital stay, or receive treatment in a comforting environment.
- Radio Flyer Wagons - Hospital personnel use the classic wagons in place of wheelchairs or stretchers to transport children to and from surgeries, treatment rooms and playrooms. The wagons help to make the experience an adventure, with children traveling the hallways in comfort and style.
We also invite medical professionals to refer families to our Great Escapes™ family activities program, or refer young patients to Starlight's online community for seriously ill teens and their teen-aged siblings.
